ANVESHAN, the Centre of Excellence for Sustainable Waste Management at IIM Indore, successfully hosted the “Shape the Waste Creative Poster Design Competition” as part of its ongoing mission to promote sustainability and cleanliness. The event, aligned with the Swachh Bharat Mission 2.0 (SBM 2.0), invited college students across India to create poster designs reflecting the theme “Safai Apnao, Bimaari Bhagao,” which focused on raising awareness about sanitation, hygiene, and disease prevention. The competition garnered significant attention, with 184 students registering and 61 unique poster submissions received online via the Unstop platform.
The competition culminated in the recognition of Muskan Verma from Government Medical College, Amritsar, as the first runner-up, who was awarded a cash prize of Rs 5,000 and a certificate. Beyond the competition, the initiative successfully engaged students, generated awareness about cleanliness, and contributed to the ongoing national dialogue on sanitation and hygiene. This event not only showcased creativity in addressing critical societal issues but also set the groundwork for future outreach programs aimed at further promoting sustainability and cleanliness through creative expressions.
